PETALING JAYA: When a car behind him started honking at him, a 32-year-old driver reacted by holding up what looked like a gun.

In the 3.15pm incident in Jalan PJU10/3, Damansara Damai here, on Monday, the other driver, an e-hailing driver, was on her way to pick up passengers.
Following the incident, the man was arrested at a house in Bandar Sri Damansara at 12.05am on Wednesday night.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said police received a report on the incident from the 36-year-old e-hailing driver.
“The woman, who was driving a Perodua Aruz, honked at the car in front of her as the driver was driving in an indecisive manner.
“In response, the male driver showed the woman an object that looked like a gun through the car window.”

He said after collecting intelligence, a police team raided a house and arrested a man suspected to be involved in the incident.
Police found a black toy gun and a magazine of bullets on the suspect.
“When the suspect was being interrogated, he admitted that he showed the gun (to the woman) because he was angry at the woman for honking at him.”
He said the suspect was unemployed and had prior records related to drugs.
He said the case had been classified under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation.- NST
