Three new cases, death toll stays at 121

PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia recorded just three new cases on Tuesday (June 23), taking the total number of infections in the country to 8,590.

This was announced on Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah’s Twitter account on Tuesday (June 23).

Dr Noor Hisham also said nine more cases have been discharged, which means 8,186 patients have recovered from Covid-19 in Malaysia since the outbreak began.

This translates to a recovery rate of 95.3% out of the total number of cases in the country.

There are now only 283 active cases left being treated at health facilities nationwide.

Currently, there are three patients treated at intensive care units (ICU) and none are on ventilator support.

Dr Noor Hisham announced there were no new deaths, with deaths remaining at 121 cases.
