South Korea’s data protection authority suspends local service of DeepSeek

SEOUL (Reuters) – South Korea’s data protection authority on Monday said it had temporarily suspended the domestic service of Chinese AI app DeepSeek since Saturday.

The service of the app will be resumed once improvements are made in accordance with the country’s privacy law, the authority said in a media briefing.
