PETALING JAYA: A shooting incident occurred at the Kota Samarahan air force base in Sarawak early this morning.

Bernama reported that at least four air force personnel were involved in the incident, which took place at 7.15am today.
Meanwhile, quoting sources, Astro Awani reported that three of the personnel were believed to have died, while one was severely injured.

The news outlet said preliminary investigations found that the four personnel were on duty at their guard post.
“The cause of the incident is under investigation. But three personnel died at the scene while one was badly injured and is being treated at the Sarawak Heart Centre,” its source said.
Sarawak police chief Aidi Ismail confirmed the incident, saying a statement will be released later today.FMT
