PETALING JAYA: The price of RON97 will see a slight increase until June 9. The price of RON95 and diesel will remain the same.

RON97 will retail at RM2.63 per litre, up two sen from RM2.61.
The price of RON95 will remain at RM2.05 per litre, with diesel also unchanged at RM2.15 a litre.

The new rates will be effective from June 3 until June 9.
The finance ministry said the government would continue to monitor the trends of global crude oil prices and take appropriate measures to ensure the continued welfare and well-being of the people.
“To protect the consumers from global oil price increases, the government will maintain the ceiling price of RON95 at RM2.05 per litre and diesel at RM2.15 per litre, even though the market price (derived from the Automatic Pricing Mechanism) for RON95 and diesel has increased beyond the current ceiling price,” it said in a statement.-FMT
