KUALA LUMPUR: Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rina Harun tested positive for Covid-19, last night.

She is the second member of Cabinet after Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Economy) Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed to contract the coronavirus in recent days.
Mustapa tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday night.
In a statement, the ministry said Rina underwent Covid-19 screening at the Putrajaya health clinic in Putrajaya, near here, on Sunday morning.

“Datuk Seri Rina was admitted to the Sungai Buloh Hospital at 11am today for close monitoring by health and medical staff.
“She will also adhere to all guidelines of Covid-19 infection set by the Health Ministry.
“She has apologised for any difficulty arising from her diagnosis,” the ministry said in a statement today.
The ministry added that although hospitalised, Rina will ensure that all matters related to welfare works, the protection and empowerment of targetted groups, and ministry operations will run as usual. – NST
