MCO extended in KL, Selangor, Johor and Penang until March 4

PETALING JAYA, 16 Feb 2021 (The Capital Post): The Movement control order (MCO) will be extended in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Johor, and Penang from Feb 19 until March 4, says Datuk Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The Senior Minister said that Kedah, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Pahang, Terengganu, Kelantan, Putrajaya, Labuan and Sabah will be placed under the Conditional movement control order (CMCO) until March 4.

Perlis has been placed under the Recovery movement control order (RMCO) also until March 4.

There will however be some ease in restrictions for the states under the MCO beginning Feb 19.

Ismail Sabri said dine-in at eateries would be based on capacity after taking into account at least one metre of physical distancing. This means more than two people would be able to sit at one table.

The same applies for states under CMCO.

The 10km travel radius for MCO areas will also be lifted, but the ban on interstate and interdistrict travel remain.- The Capital Post
