PETALING JAYA: MySejahtera users who have already indicated their interest in the Covid-19 vaccine will get their appointments based on their first registration, says Science, Technology and Innovation minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

His clarification was in response to queries from the members of the public if they need to register again after an update on the app.

In a tweet, Khairy said the app will be sending out a push notification to users to acknowledge that they have registered for the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.

“MySejahtera has been doing a UI (user interface) update to push this to everyone that has registered.

“Wait for the push (notification). Don’t register again. For those that did and see a later date of registration, rest assured we have a record of your first try.

“Appointments will be given based on the first time you registered,” he tweeted on Thursday (March 4), adding that the push notification will be sent out that same day.

Khairy replied to a Twitter user who had earlier thought that her first registration did not go through and expressed concerns that her effort to register earlier went to waste.

“Don’t worry. Your first registration is logged in and recorded in the back end. And you will get your appointment based on that first registration,” he said.

He also replied to Bangi MP Ong Kian Ming’s query if he could wait for another two weeks for an update which would allow his mother to be registered under his father’s MySejahtera app as a dependant.

“Yes YB. (You) can wait for the ‘dependants’ feature. Then we will give your parents an appointment at the same date or time so they can go together,” he said.- The Star
