Green light for shooting, under strict SOP

KUALA LUMPUR: The National Security Council (MKN) has released stricter standard operating procedures (SOP) for six creative content development activities in the creative industry sector.

According to a news report yesterday, the six activities currently allowed are music and animation production, post-production in studios, digital music development, song recording in studios, pre-production for filming and filming in studios.

Filming activities in studios includes dramas, telemovies, commercials, documentaries, sitcoms and live streaming, as well as cultural, arts and heritage recordings without any audiences.

However, all of the activities will not be permitted in areas where the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) is currently enforced.

Face-to-face casting or auditions will also not be allowed and are advised to be carried out online or via video clips sent by the artistes.

The SOP also come with measures that have to be adhered to by those involved, including disease prevention and control protocols, body temperature checks, the utilisation of the MySejahtera app, the sterilisation and disinfection of premises and social distancing.

The number of workers allowed at any one time cannot exceed 20 people.-NST
