Kuala Lumpur, 9 March 2021 (The Capital Post)- Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak suggest Government to let private hospitals buy vaccine to speed up the National Immunization process.

In his recent Facebook post he say the current national vaccination process is quite slow compared to the neighboring countries and by letting the private clinics and hospital, the process can be accelerated to reach the herd immunity.
“The U-turn made by the PN government yesterday to involve private clinics and hospitals to assist in the vaccination process was the right move, however, this is not enough because the government still does not want to give approval to the private sector to find and buy vaccines through their channels”, he says.

He also said the Government does not lose anything as long the vaccine sought by the private sector is approved by the government and the World Health Organization (WHO).
The MP of Pekan added, “If they succeed, then the national vaccination process can be accelerated and the burden on government vaccination centers can be reduced and in addition, the government can consider if the process of vaccinating through the drive-thru means as made in the USA and Indonesia is suitable for our country”. -The Capital Post
