PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 1,918 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday (May 24), says the Health Ministry.

According to the ministry’s CovidNow portal, 1,896 of the new Covid-19 infections in the country were local transmissions, while there were 22 imported cases.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 4,494,782 cases since the pandemic began.
A total of 2 deaths were recorded on Tuesday with no cases of brought in dead, bringing the total to 35,647.-The Star
