PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 16,863 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday (March 27), says the Health Ministry.

According to the ministry’s CovidNow portal, 16,625 of the new Covid-19 infections in the country were local transmissions, while there were 238 imported cases.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 4,138,867 cases since the pandemic began.
A total of 37 deaths were recorded on Sunday with 6 classified as being brought in dead, bringing the total to 34,751.-The Star
