Covid-19 vaccine: 302,804 doses administered on Sunday (Aug 29), says JKJAV

PETALING JAYA: A total of 302,804 Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered on Sunday (Aug 29), bringing the total number of shots given in Malaysia so far to 34,027,548, says the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).

In a series of tweets, the JKJAV said that 142,186 individuals received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine on Sunday, while 160,618 got their second jab.

Johor administered the most first doses with 27,639 doses, followed by Perak (20,931), Kelantan (17,687) and Kedah (15,647).

Johor also registered the highest number of second doses being administered on Sunday with 31,067, followed by Selangor (29,039), Sabah (22,829) and Kedah (15,271).

JKJAV added that as of Sunday, a total of 82.8% of the country’s adult population had received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, while 62.6% had received both doses.-The Star
