PETALING JAYA: The health ministry has reported 20,837 Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours.

In a Facebook post, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the total number of infections now stands at 1,593,602.
While Selangor continued to report the highest number of cases with 4,645, Penang saw a record high of 2,054 infections today while Sabah had 3,376 cases.

They were followed by Kedah (1,772), Johor (1,743), Kelantan (1,422), Sarawak (1,543), Kuala Lumpur (1,284), Perak (1,242), Pahang (521), Melaka (396), Terengganu (383), Negeri Sembilan (351), Perlis (74), Putrajaya (27) and Labuan (4).
Perlis, Sabah, Kelantan and Johor also recorded all-time highs in the number of cases today.-FMT
