PETALING JAYA: Police have detained five men who rioted at a restaurant in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, on Sunday night.
The five reportedly began rioting after the restaurant denied them service as it was closing.
A video of the men, aged between 19 and 23, has gone viral. In the video, a group is seen throwing the restaurant’s chairs and tables around before another group appears to come out of the premises to confront them.
Brickfields police chief Anuar Omar said the five men were arrested in different parts of the city and Selangor. All do not have criminal records.
The case is being investigated under Section 148 of the Penal Code for rioting.- FMT
