Air Selangor said the incident was due to land reclamation projects by a third party, resulting in excessive pressure which caused the pipe to burst.

Water tankers will be sent to the affected areas, it said in a Facebook post.

The list of the 59 areas and updates on the repair work can be found on Air Selangor’s social media pages, mobile application and website.

Previously, another burst pipe at Persiaran Jubli Perak in Seksyen 24 had caused six areas in Shah Alam to be without water.

Major areas in the Klang Valley had also suffered water cuts in September and October because of pollution in raw river water, causing treatment plants to be closed temporarily. -FMT
