KUALA LUMPUR: Rosé and Lisa of international K-Pop group BlackPink will finally be making their solo debuts with individual tracks.
Soompi reported that the popular music outfit’s agency, YG Entertainment, had announced the good news yesterday.
In an official statement, the company confirmed that, “Rosé and Lisa are preparing for their solo debuts.” It added: “Currently, they are getting ready to film their music videos.”
YG Entertainment also said: “As for Jisoo, she is busy shooting (a new K-Drama going by the tentative title of) Snowdrop, so Rosé and Lisa will make their solo debuts first.”
Another news report also revealed that the filming for Rose’s music video would be happening in mid-January of 2021.
The confirmation comes as good news to fans who have been patiently waiting for the individual idols from the popular K-Pop quartet to come up with solo material.
YG Entertainment had previously announced that each BlackPink member would be releasing solo tracks.
So far, Jennie has been the only one to do so with her song, Solo, which was released back in November 2018.
Meanwhile, BlackPink is currently busy preparing for its YG Palm Stage – 2020 BlackPink: The Show concert that is scheduled to happen on Jan 31, 2021.
