PETALING JAYA: Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah has once again shown her down-to-earth nature when she travelled on board the KLIA Ekspres to take a flight.
Tunku Azizah was on her way to New Delhi, India, to receive the 2019 Craft Icon of the Year Award.
“We congratulate Seri Paduka Baginda Tuanku,” read a posting on the Istana Negara Instagram page.
The World Crafts Council (WCC) honoured her with the award for her contributions in keeping traditional craft heritage alive.
The Third International Craft Awards presentation event will be held at GMR Aerocity in India on Dec 7.
Instagram users described her as “a very humble queen”, and “down-to- earth”.
Instagram user zulkifli82 wrote; “The people, regardless of race, love Your Majesty. How are we not falling in love with you? A very humble queen,” he said. -The Star
