PETALING JAYA: Expectant and nursing mothers can now register or update their information on the MySejahtera app and the suitable vaccine will be given to them.
The Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee (JKJAV) said that the appointments for these women would be given according to the suitable vaccine.
“For those who do not use the MySejahtera app, you can call our hotline, ” it said on Twitter on Wednesday (June 2).
In the two screen-grab images attached with the post, users are now able to update their pregnancy or breastfeeding status under the Covid-19 Vaccination tab.
Next, users would be prompted to fill in details such as their expected due dates and whether they are breastfeeding.
On May 25, the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (NIP) coordinating minister Khairy Jamaluddin said a new feature will be available on the MySejahtera app to enable pregnant and lactating mothers to register for vaccination.
However, he reminded them to consult their doctors before deciding to get vaccinated.
The advisory now is that Pfizer can be given to both while AstraZeneca is for lactating mothers, added Khairy.-The Star
