IPOH: PKR is willing to cooperate with other political parties, including Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda), in the next general election, says Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
The PKR secretary-general said PKR was prepared to work with any parties, as long as the party’s principles were followed.
“We are willing to work with anyone as PKR is multiracial. There is always room to explore a political cooperation, ” he said after opening the Tambun PKR division annual general meeting yesterday.
Saifuddin also said the names of almost 90% of potential candidates for GE15 had been submitted to the party’s central committee.
On whether PKR had held talks with other coalition members over seat allocation, Saifuddin said negotiations had yet to take place.
On speculation of DAP’s Jelapang assemblyman Cheah Poh Hian joining PKR, Saifuddin said he was not aware of it.
Early last month, a screenshot of a purported application by Cheah to join PKR went viral. Cheah has denied the claim.-The Star
