IPOH: The people are frustrated by the delay in power transition in the Perak state government with the listing of three nominees for the Mentri Besar’s post, says Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak.

Those in the running are state Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu, who is, state PAS commissioner Razman Zakaria and state Umno chairman Datuk Saarani Mohamad.

The state PKR chief said the Palace should not be burdened with their insecure political games.

“The fact is that the former mentri besar (Ahmad Faizal) failed to do his job during the Pakatan Harapan government.

“He failed to resolve issues of its administration and problems of misappropriation of people’s rights involving land, logging and tenders,” Farhash said in a statement.

The 13th Perak Mentri Besar will be sworn in on Friday (March 13).

Sstate secretary Datuk Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahman said in a statement Tuesday (March 12) that the swearing-in ceremony will be held at Istana Iskandariah in Kuala Kangsar at about 3pm.

However, the statement did not name who has been appointed by the Sultan. – The Star
