RAMALLAH- Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh on Sunday said that Palestine rejects the United States (US) peace plan, or the “Deal of the Century”, Xinhua news agency reported.
The plan is a “US project that we reject,” the prime minister said in a ceremony marking the national teacher’s day in the West Bank city of Ramallah.
“We will not wait for the deal, it will be born dead if it is announced,” he said.
“Washington has not found a partner for this plan in Europe, the Arab World or among Palestinian people,”he added.
The plan has two parts, namely an economic one and a political one. On June 22, 2019, the Trump administration released the economic part titled “Peace to Prosperity”. The political part is yet to be released.
Political ties between Palestine and the United States have been severed right after Trump declared Jerusalem as Israel’s capital in December 2017.- BERNAMA
