SIBU: A 24-year-old motorcyclist died after the machine she was riding was involved in an accident with a car and another motorcycle in Song on Tuesday (Dec 10).
In a statement, the State Fire and Rescue Department said that the victim has been identified as Laila Antau, and it added that the Song station received a call from the police at about 8.47am of an accident at Jalan Takan.
It said a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) driven by a 37-year-old woman had collided head-on with the two motorcycles which were travelling in the opposite direction.
“The commander of the operation found a woman had died on the spot, while her pillion rider was injured,” it said.
However, two others on another motorcycle and the driver of the MPV escaped uninjured. -The Star
