MELAKA: The Melaka state assembly has been dissolved, says speaker Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh.
In a press conference on Tuesday (Oct 5) Ab Rauf said that Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Dr Mohd Ali Mohd Rustam had agreed to dissolve the Melaka Legislative Assembly.
This means that the state will have to hold a snap election within 60 days.
Ab Rauf said that the current Melaka state government would act as a caretaker government until the election is called.-The Star
