KUALA LUMPUR: A 37-year-old man was killed in a road accident on the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) early morning today after losing control of his car and crashed into another.
In the 5.40am incident, Ong Woei Yap died on the spot due to severe head injuries.
Kuala Lumpur Police Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Assistant Commissioner Zulkefly Yahya said Ong’s car crashed into the other vehicle before ramming into a concrete pole on the right lane.
“The driver of the other car, a 34-year-old, escape unscathed. Ong’s body was extricated from his mangled car by a fire and rescue team,” he said in a statement.
The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.-NST
