PETALING JAYA: Kuala Lumpur have qualified for the FA Cup final after beating Terengganu 4-2 in a penalty shootout in the semi-final at the Sultan Mizan Stadium in Gong Badak, Terengganu on Sunday (June 26).

In normal time, the game ended 0-0 and in extra time, both sides were still deadlocked.

Kuala Lumpur were dogged with their approach, producing a defensive masterclass led by Australian centreback Giancarlo Gallifuoco.

Terengganu were the side with better possession but wished they were clinical upfront.

In the penalty shootout, the City Boys were clinical, as Paulo Josue, Romel Morales, Akram Mahinan and Gallifuoco, with the winning penalty, buried from the spot.

Their goalkeeper Azim Al-Amin was the hero pulling off two stops in the shootout to deny Nik Shareef Haseefy and Liridon Krasniqi. Safwan Mazlan and Arif Fadzilah scored from the spot for Terengganu.
