EPF no longer a substantial shareholder in Media Prima

PETALING JAYA: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has ceased to be a substantial shareholder in Media Prima Bhd, which owns TV3 and the NSTP Group among others.

This follows its most recent disposal of 17.6 million shares in the media company on April 23.

According to the Bursa Malaysia website, the retirement fund held an 11.6% stake in Media Prima as of April 8, 2020, with over 129 million shares.

However, EPF has been steadily disposing of millions of shares since then.

On April 22, before its most recent disposal of shares, EPF disposed of nine million shares, leaving it with a 5.21% stake in Media Prima. – FMT
