Don’t do it on last minute, says Syed Saddiq

Estimate Reading Time: < 1 minute

MUAR, 11 Jan 2021,(The Capital Post)- YB Syed Saddiq expressed his concerns regarding the uncertainty of guideline on Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) in his tweet yesterday.

“I received many messages from SPM candidates, their parents & teachers who were worried about SPM status.”, he tweeted.

He also added, “Many complained that the Minister had not given detailed guidelines on SPM. As far as we know, the SPM date has been postponed 2 times.”

The MP of Muar asked two questions on the thread of the tweet:-

1. If the SPM examination is conducted in the red zone area, will students be quarantined in one place during SPM?

2. What is the preparation status of students facing SPM? I received many complaints about the worrying SPM trial performance.

He also questioned on the Minister’s preparations to help students facing floods and reminded Education Ministry of Malaysia not to do the last minute work as what done by Ministry of Higher Education.

Currently SPM have been postponed to 22nd of February by the Education Ministry of Malaysia and with the current high rising Covid-19 cases and potential Movement Control Order (MCO) on the brink, student are more concerned and confused. The Capital Post
