PETALING JAYA: Malaysia administered 322,346 Covid-19 vaccine doses on Thursday (Sept 9), reports the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).
The committee said that of this total, 133,861 individuals received the first dose of a two-dose Covid-19 vaccine, while 188,485 had completed their doses.
Perak administered the most first doses with 21,674 jabs, followed by Johor (17,467), Kedah (14,394) and Penang (13,501).
Kuala Lumpur saw the most second jabs of a Covid-19 vaccine given with 24,347 doses, followed by Sabah (22,909), Selangor (18,449) and Terengganu (17,071).
JKJAV also said, in a tweet Friday (Sept 10), that 90% of the adult population in Malaysia had received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, while 71.3% of the adult population had completed both doses or received a single dose Covid-19 vaccine.
It added that, as of Thursday, 37,714,587 Covid-19 vaccine doses had been administered in the country since the National Covid-19 Immunisation Plan began. -The Star
