HULU SELANGOR: Search and rescue operations for the nine remaining victims of the landslide at the Father’s Organic Farm campsite in Batang Kali resumed at 8am on Monday (Dec 19).
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Datuk Norazam Khamis told Bernama that the operation would focus on Sectors A and C as well as areas that had not been dug up yet.
In the landslide at 2.42am Friday (Dec 16), a section of a slope measuring 300m long and 70m high came crashing down onto the campsite.
As of Monday morning, 24 people have been confirmed killed in the landslide, nine are still missing and 61 were rescued.-The Star
