105 new Covid-19 deaths, toll now stands at 26,981

PETALING JAYA: The health ministry reported 105 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, according to its GitHub database.

Of the total, 26 were classified as brought-in-dead (BID). The death toll now stands at 26,981.

Most of the deaths were recorded in Sarawak with 27, followed by Sabah (14), Kelantan (12) Selangor (10), Penang (seven), Perak (six), Kedah (four), Kuala Lumpur (three), Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Perlis and Terengganu (two each) and Pahang (one).

There were no deaths reported in Labuan and Putrajaya.

As of midnight, there were 132,175 active cases, including 847 in intensive care units (ICU), 445 of whom required respiratory assistance.

There were also 13,045 recoveries reported.

The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia stands at 2,303,837.-FMT
