Singaporean actor-host-DJ Marcus Chin, who suffered a heart attack on Oct 7, returned to National University Hospital (NUH) for a second operation on Oct 22.

The 71-year-old was filming a video with fellow actor Mark Lee at Mediacorp on Oct 7 when he felt unwell. Chin was taken to NUH, where he immediately underwent an operation. He announced on Oct 9 via social media that he would have to undergo another operation.
He resumed work soon after he was discharged from hospital on Oct 10 and took a six-day break before the second operation.
Chin provided an update after his second operation via a video posted on Facebook on Oct 22. “I have just completed surgery… The attending doctor told me that the operation was more complex this time and it took about 1½ hours,” he said.

He added that the operation was a success and urged fans not to worry about him.
Chin told Shin Min Daily News on Oct 22 that he was advised to stay in hospital for four to six hours for observation after the operation. He could be discharged if there were no major issues, otherwise he would have to spend the night in hospital.
He told Shin Min he would be resting until late October before returning to work in early November.
