ALOR SETAR: Police are probing a viral clip showing an altercation involving several individuals including a man believed to be an aide to Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor.

Kota Setar OCPD Asst Comm Siti Nor Salawati Saad said two men, aged 48 and 54, had lodged two reports at 1.25am and 10.58am on Monday (Oct 21) over the incident, reported Sinar Harian.
“Prior to this, a 1-minute 20-second TikTok video was shared by many on social media.
“Initial investigation by police showed that the incident happened around 11.50pm on Sunday (Oct 20) in Alor Setar,” said ACP Nor Salawati in a statement on Tuesday (Oct 22).
She said the video recording showed several individuals having a verbal argument with a passenger sitting in the driver’s seat inside a car while a few others were standing outside the car.

“Police have opened separate investigation papers based on the incident under Section 352 and Section 504 of the Penal Code,” she added.
She said both individuals have been called to the Kota Setar district police to have their statements recorded.
“The public are urged not to speculate on the incident while investigation is going on which could lead to uneasiness.
“Those who witnessed the incident are advised to come,” she added.
