PETALING JAYA: Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) has restored power supply to the majority of its consumers in the area after a fire broke out at the main Mid Valley City substation.
In a statement on Wednesday (May 17), TNB said its team managed to restore power supply in stages as early as 10.55am, with the majority areas receiving power within 90 minutes.
According to grid officer Dev Anandan, a check by TNB found the substation was not working at 10.27am and power supply was cut beginning 10.51am in the vicinity of Mid Valley City and parts of Desa Pantai.
He said the transport system at KL Sentral was not affected because the supply was from another source.
TNB thanked the Fire and Rescue Department for its assistance in containing the fire and apologised to affected consumers.
