JOHOR BAHRU: The number of flood evacuees in Batu Pahat dropped from 439 at 8pm yesterday to 419 as of 8am today (Mar 24), said the State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN).

It said in a statement that five temporary flood relief centres (PPS) were still operating, housing 113 families.

The five centres are Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Medan (209 evacuees), Sekolah Agama (SA) Seri Bertam (six), Yong Peng Community Hall (129), Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Hua Min (21) and SA Seri Comel (54).
It also said that Sungai Bekok at Bekok Dam was at warning level of 19metres (m), while good weather has been forecasted for all 10 districts in the state this morning. – Bernama
