KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 11): A total of 22,248,737 individuals or 95% of Malaysia’s adult population had completed their Covid-19 vaccination as of Nov 10 (Wednesday).
Based on the Ministry of Health’s data on the COVIDNOW portal, 97.5% of the adult population or 22,838,338 grown-ups had received at least one dose of the vaccine.
A total of 131,240 vaccine doses were dispensed on Wednesday, of which 37,689 individuals completed their two-dose vaccination, 7,650 shots were given to first-dose recipients and 85,901 jabs were booster doses, bringing the total number of doses administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to 50,804,374.
As for adolescents aged 12 to 17, a total of 2,442,373 individuals in the age group or 77.6% of them had completed their vaccination. They were among 86.6% of teenagers or 2,725,876 adolescents who had received at least one dose of the vaccine.
On the administration of booster shots, a total of 731,635 such doses had been administered as of Wednesday.-BERNAMA
