No plea was taken and magistrate Jamaliah Abd Manan set June 23 for mention to await a pathology report.

Last week, police said three policemen were on patrol along Scotland Road when they spotted a motorcyclist behaving suspiciously.

They said the policemen gave chase and the man sped off and rode in a “zig-zag” manner, causing one of them to crash onto a pavement.

Police also said the suspect, who had six drug-related cases previously, tested positive for methamphetamine, amphetamine and marijuana.

Iqbal, who hailed from Besut, Terengganu, joined the force 18 months ago.-FMT
