PETALING JAYA: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah (pic) has given his blessings to present awards, honours and medals to 335 recipients in conjunction with the Federal Territory Day celebrations this year.
Six people received the Seri Utama Mahkota Wilayah award which carries the title of “Datuk Seri Utama”, 24 people received the Seri Mahkota Wilayah award which carries the title of“Datuk Seri” and 81 people received the Panglima Mahkota Wilayah award which carries the title of “Datuk”.
The top six award recipients were Penang Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas, Sabah Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Juhar Mahiruddin, wife of Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sarawak Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud Toh Puan Ragad Kurdi Taib, Yang di-Pertua Negri of Melaka Tun Mohd Ali Mohd Rustam, Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz and Pahang Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail.
Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa made the announcement at an online press conference, where he said that the award presentation ceremony would be set on a later date but the awards were effective from Monday (Feb 1)
Meanwhile, 49 others received the Johan Mahkota Wilayah, followed by 76 who received the Kesatria Mahkota Wilayah award, 31 people who received Ahli Mahkota Wilayah award and 68 people received Pangkuan Mahkota Wilayah medal.- The Star
