KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 4 — Singer, actor and host Alif Satar who contracted COVID-19 recently has recovered after being treated and quarantined at the Melaka Hospital.
Alif said he has now returned to the arms of his beloved family and expressed his gratitude for the recovery after receiving 12 days of treatment.
“Alhamdulillah(thanks to Allah) for all the blessings, sustenance, health and happiness that He has bestowed. I am pleased to share that after 12 days of being quarantined in Melaka Hospital, thanks to the prayers of all Malaysians for me and my family, I am now back to good health and to the arms of my beloved family,” he said in a media statement shared on his Instagram.
He also thanked all parties for taking responsibility and acting quickly as soon as they found out that he had contracted COVID-19.
The singer also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all parties particularly the Ministry of Health, the production crew of MuzikMuzik TV3, JS Pictures and his peers in the industry for complying with the Standard Operating Procedures and taking swift action to get tested.
He said he was also grateful and relieved when informed that all his contacts at the filming set, fellow artistes and production crew members tested negative for COVID-19.
Alif said he was deeply moved by the many prayers and words of encouragement that he received from Malaysians wishing him to be well.
“My family, who were also affected, received support from family members, friends and even the neighbors in easing our burden and worries that we had to go through,” he added.
Meanwhile, Alif also called on all Malaysians to live by the “Kita Jaga Kita” (We take care of each other) slogan through community cooperation in a bid to curb the COVID-19 pandemic.
He also urged Malaysians to stop harbouring negative views, boycotting and isolating those affected by the disease as no one wished to be infected. -BERNAMA
