KLANG: The Selangor government has activated additional childcare centres in several hospitals to help out frontliners who are parents, says Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari (pic).
He said that the centres are located at the Sungai Buloh, Banting, Selayang, Kajang, Shah Alam and Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Klang hospitals as well as the Selangor health department, Bangunan Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (state secretariat) and Bangunan Darul Ehsan in Shah Alam.
“All the childcare centres (in hospitals and the department) are open to medical staff only whilst the childcare centres at Bangunan Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah and Bangunan Daruk Ehsan can be used by all frontliners including police and armed forces personnel, ” said Amirudin in a statement on Friday (Oct 16).
He said he hoped the Selangor government’s initiative would help to lessen the burden of frontliners who are sacrificing and putting their lives on the line to flatten the Covid-19 pandemic curve. -The Star
