KOTA BARU: A total 843 individuals received their Covid-19 vaccine doses at the walk-in programme held at Istana Balai Besar, here.
The three-day programme which started on Tuesday, was jointly organised by the Kelantan Sultan’s office and the state health department.
The programme that ended yesterday, focused on locals who had yet to get vaccinated.
A majority of those who went to the vaccination centre (PPV) were traders operating businesses in the town area.
One of the walk-in vaccine recipients, Siti Hasana Abdul Ghani thanked the state authority as well as the Kelantan Sultan’s office for organising the programme.
“This will help people like me who had registered with MySejahtera for many months, to get vaccinated,” she said.
The 24-year-old trader went to the PPV with two friends – Lily Nabila Mohd Epondi, 27, and Puteri Nur Balkish Mohd Fauzi, 20, who also got their vaccine jabs.
Kelantan recently decided to allow all the PPVs throughout the state to organise walk-in programmes to help speed up the vaccination exercise in the state.
Kelantan has targeted to achieve 80 percent vaccination rate by next month. -NST
