4,498 new Covid-19 cases recorded, highest since Feb 4

KUALA LUMPUR: Covid-19 cases continued to rise in Malaysia with 4,498 new infections recorded today.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah tweeted that the total number of coronavirus cases in Malaysia now stood at 432,425, since the pandemic began.

Selangor logged 1,424 new cases over the past 24-hour, followed by Sarawak (750), Kuala Lumpur (436), Johor (327) and Penang (313).

Other states with three-digit were Kelantan (297), Kedah (209), Negri Sembilan (188) and Sabah (153).

This is the first time Malaysia recorded more than 4,000 cases since Feb 4.-NST
