PETALING JAYA: Daily vaccinations have hit a record high for the third consecutive day, with 434,838 doses administered yesterday.
This surpasses the previous record of 424,541 on Tuesday and 421,479 on Monday.
A total of 279,938 people received their first dose and 154,890 their second dose yesterday, according to the Covid-19 vaccine supply access guarantee special committee (JKJAV) in a tweet.
In total, 12,647,558 vaccine doses have been administered since the national Covid-19 immunisation programme began, with 17.1% of the adult population (or 12.3% of the total population) fully vaccinated.
As of yesterday, Labuan had the highest rate of fully vaccinated individuals with 35.7% of its total population protected, followed by Sarawak (25.4%), Perlis (23.6%), Negeri Sembilan (13.2%) and Selangor (12.3%).
Sabah was the lowest among all states, with only 8.5% of its population being fully vaccinated.-FMT
